How you can get involved

There are lots of ways in which you can get involved and support the PRDC and your fellow trainees.

Become a member of the PRDC

Becoming a member will give you opportunities to:

  • network
  • play a part in initiatives to raise the standard of training
  • represent trainees on other College committees
  • support trainees across the UK.

Current vacancies

We are currently recruiting for vacancies for the term 01 July 2025 - 01 July 2027 in the following divisions and devolved Nation: 

  • Eastern
  • London (member)
  • South West x2 (1x member)
  • Northern Ireland (member)

Please submit a short statement expressing your interest and what you can bring to the role to ptcsupport@rcpsych.ac.uk. The closing date for applications is Monday 24 March 2025, 11:59pm.

We are also recruiting for an Editor of The Registrar Magazine, for the term July 2025 - July 2027. The role of Editor offers an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to shape the content of the publication and spotlight topics that are relevant to resident doctors, while also profiling the work and experiences of individual resident doctor contributors. 

To apply, please submit an up-to-date CV and an article (maximum 500 words), written in the style of a magazine article, outlining what you will bring to the role and your reasons for applying, to ptcsupport@rcpsych.ac.uk. The closing date for applications is Monday 31 March, 11:59pm. Interviews will be held virtually on Thursday 01 May.
