Public mental health leadership: new certification course
RCPsych’s first certification course on public mental health leadership launched in April.
This is a new type of hybrid eLearning and webinar course designed for both UK-based and international psychiatrists, members of the public mental health workforce, as well as the public health workforce including clinicians, allied health professionals, community-based organisations and policy makers, all of whom should find the course useful to help align their knowledge and skills in the mental health arena.
The course aims to:
- enhance the knowledge and skills of public mental health among psychiatrists and the wider clinical workforce
- generate and empower local champions of public mental health and provide further insights for professional work
- develop a culture change from an individualised model of clinical psychiatry to a population-based, preventative public health approach
- train the next generation of multidisciplinary leaders in public mental health by providing them with the tools and expertise to advocate for public mental health.
The interactive course provides comprehensive exploration for long-term implementation in your local area and offers six new eLearning modules, free access to a curated suite of existing RCPsych learning resources on related topics, webinars and live Q&A sessions with an expert faculty.
Candidates will be awarded the 免费黑料网’ Certificate in Public Mental Health Leadership on successful completion of all parts of the course.
The first cohort of the course is now fully booked; read more about the course and to register your interest for future dates, which should be released shortly.
