Liaison Faculty prizes and bursaries

The Faculty of Liaison Psychiatry awards the following prizes at each of its two conferences every year.

  • Best oral presentation
  • Best overall poster presentation (first author) 
  • Best poster presentation by a doctor in core psychiatry (CT) or foundation (FY) postgraduate training (first author)

Prizes

The winner will receive free registration at the Annual Faculty Conference and the Trainees, New Consultants, Nurses, and Allied Health Professionals Conference (TNC-NAHP) in the following 12 months.

How often?

Annually.

Who can enter?

Doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and researchers who are working in liaison psychiatry or who are considering a future career in liaison psychiatry.

Where will they be presented?

Faculty Annual Conference (usually held in May) and Trainees, New Consultants, Nurses, and Allied Health Professionals Conference (usually held in November/December).

Rules

  • The judging panel will consist of the Faculty Academic Secretary or TNC-NAHP Organising Committee, the Faculty Research and Development Lead, and other members of the Faculty Executive Committee.
  • The prize will be judged against a standard set of criteria for research presentation.
  • In the event that a CT or FY doctor wins best overall poster presentation, the best CT/FY poster prize will be awarded to the second placed poster by a CT or FY doctor.
  • Registration is not transferrable and cannot be carried over to subsequent years.
  • In the event that a winner cannot attend or a conference is cancelled, no alternative prize will be offered.

Submission and closing date

Applicants should submit an abstract to the relevant Faculty conference. Please follow the instructions on the Call for posters. The submission closing date is midday (12.00pm) on Friday 21 March 2025 for the Annual Faculty Conference.
