
Professor Linda Gask
Emerita Professor of Primary Care Psychiatry, University of Manchester
Professor Linda Gask trained in Edinburgh and Manchester. She is a retired consultant psychiatrist, Emerita Professor of Primary Care Psychiatry at the University of Manchester and a recipient of the President's Medal at the RCPsych where she was also served as the Presidential Lead for Primary Care.
She has been a consultant for WHO and also written about her own experience of mental health problems in two well-received memoirs. She now lives in Orkney, where she is Vice-Chair of the Blide Trust, the local mental health charity.
Her latest book, 'Out of Her Mind: how we are failing women's mental health care and what must change, was recently published by Cambridge University Press.
